About

I always start at the bottom.

Before I change anything in a company, I want to understand what your people live every day. That isn't a method I read about. It's how I built my own career.

Where it started

Behind the counter

My first jobs were in a grocery store and later in a jewellery store. In the jewellery store I served everyone, from people who had saved for months for one special ring to customers who didn't even look at the price.

It taught me something I still use every day: whoever is standing in front of you, you only earn their trust when you take the time to understand them.

A large American multinational

On the phone with real customers

After my studies in international business management, I joined a large American multinational. Not in an office with a view, but in customer service, on the phone with people who had a problem and wanted it solved. I liked that.

Over the years I grew into contracting, then inside sales and finally key account management. And because I had started on the phone, I always knew what our customers were really dealing with, long before it showed up in a report.

Automotive

Starting at the bottom, again

When I moved into automotive, at an IT company that built software and hardware for the sector, I chose to start in customer service again. Some people saw it as a step back. For me it was the fastest way to really learn the business.

I spent my days helping dealers, and I got to know their world from the inside: what worked, what frustrated them, and what cost them time every single day. From there I grew into business consultant and trainer.

Product development

Turning what I saw into something that works

All of that came together when I was asked to lead the development of an OEM solution on Salesforce for automotive. I built the team from scratch, drew up the roadmaps and designed the customer journeys and digital tools for dealers and OEMs. I also trained the dealer network in Belgium and Luxembourg in CRM, sales, marketing and operations.

Next to that, I took care of the creative side for different brands, dealer groups and OEMs: photos, videos, and ideas and content for their social media. For the first time, everything I had seen on the ground could be turned into something that changed how people actually worked.

The project I'm proudest of

60+

people kept selling from home

Then COVID arrived, and the showrooms closed almost overnight. Dealers still needed to sell cars, but nobody could come in. So I designed and built a complete digital sales administration tool that let salespeople do their whole job from home.

More than 60 users across dealer groups kept working because of it. Not because it was big, but because it helped people exactly when they needed it.

ThinkBulb

That cartoon moment

After 13 years of bringing ideas and improvements to other companies, I wanted to do it my own way. That's how ThinkBulb started.

The name comes from that cartoon moment when someone gets an idea and a lightbulb switches on above their head. I love that moment, but I love what comes after even more: turning the idea into something that really works.

Today

Consultant and coach

For starters, I'm the coach I would have wanted when I began. Starting a company is exciting, but it's also lonely, and there are a hundred decisions to make before you've sold a thing. I help founders sharpen their idea, figure out who their customer really is, build their offer and find their place in the market.

For SMBs and larger companies, the coaching is about growth and change. Maybe a product needs a relaunch, maybe the strategy no longer fits the market, or maybe the team works hard but not in the same direction. I help leaders see where they stand, make the difficult choices and bring their people along.

And when the answer is a tool or a platform, I build it myself, on Salesforce, AWS or as a tailored SaaS solution. I work across automotive, FMCG, construction and government, in Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and France.

How I work

You'll always get the truth

There is one thing you should know before we work together. I will always tell you the truth, even when it's not what you hoped to hear. Sometimes that means bad news, or a decision you didn't see coming.

I don't do that to be hard. I do it because I've seen from the bottom up what happens in companies where nobody dares to say it.

And when I'm not working, there's a good chance I'm out on my motorcycle.
